As an early investor in Certive, Mr. Marreel was instrumental in the formation of Certive’s Advisory Council, which is comprised of healthcare management experts. He has been involved in healthcare benefit plan financing, plan design, and marketing for over thirty years. He held key positions at William Mercer, Schaller Anderson Inc., The Segal Company and is founder and CEO of Marreel Slater Insurance, a healthcare consulting and benefit brokerage company in Phoenix, Arizona. At Schaller Anderson, Inc., a health management and consulting company based in Phoenix, Arizona, Tom became senior vice president assuming development and oversight of the commercial self-funded business sector. He had a primary role in building this business that was ultimately sold to Aetna in 2007. Mr. Marreel is also supervising in sales and marketing activities.
Mr. Hyland is an experienced executive in healthcare finance, business development, and mergers and acquisitions. Previously, he was Senior Vice President of Schaller Anderson, Inc. from May 1989 – October 2004 in Phoenix, Arizona. At Schaller Anderson, Tim was its CFO for 13 years before focusing exclusively on Business Development – M&A. He worked closely with Tom Marreel in building the success at Schaller Anderson. In volunteer leadership roles, Tim has served on numerous Boards, including having served as the President of the Arizona Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association – he then served a 3-year term on HFMA’s National Board of Directors from 2002-2005. Mr. Hyland is an investor in the Company.
Mr. Miller has nearly 40 years’ experience in the legal profession serving as General Counsel to a major medical center, insurance companies, a publicly-traded consumer electronics manufacturer and a data analytics firm. He also served in senior management capacities for risk management firms and international insurance brokers, created environmental insurance programs for large investment banks and has been retained by state insurance regulators to consult in insurance company receiverships. As a Court-appointed Receiver, he supervised the successful financial rehabilitation of a health insurance company for the Arizona Insurance Department. Mike received his JD degree from William Mitchell College of Law and his B.S. with distinction from the University of Minnesota. He has been a member of the Minnesota Bar since 1977.
Van Potter has over 30 years of experience as a technology executive with a focus on the development of early-stage business including former CEO of InPlay Technologies (NASDAQ: NPLA), and VP of Business Development at Pixtronix; VP Business Development of International DisplayWorks (NASDAQ), Three Five Systems Senior Vice President (NYSE). Potter has significant experience in financing, growing, and creating shareholder value.
Mr. Thomas is a Venture Capitalist and Private Investor who works with Management and Officers to drive solutions that create stakeholder value. In his 25+ years of experience in the financial industry as a Broker, Trader, and Hedge Fund Manager, Mr. Thomas has participated in numerous financings, IPO’s, and exits, and has managed the trading desk as a Market Maker for a Broker Dealer in numerous IPO’s and secondary offerings. He is a seasoned business executive, with experience in financing and growing several publicly listed companies in diverse industries. He has held Board and Advisory Board positions with startups, and small Companies, helping to position them for public markets, organic growth, or acquisition. Mr. Thomas has a B.S. in Finance from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University and serves as a Mentor for the School of Innovation and Technology at Skysong. He also participates as a member of Conscious Capitalism.
Ms. Fierro has been involved in healthcare since 1975 and specializes in the areas of operations, revenue enhancement, regulatory compliance, nursing practice enhancement, and hospital charge auditing. She began her healthcare career in critical care nursing. She completed her degree in Accounting while working as an RN and made the transition to Hospital Finance in 1985. Her responsibilities have involved ensuring regulatory compliance while maximizing the profitability of the corporation, corporate cash management, strategic rate setting, capital financing, and the planning and opening of new hospitals. She formed The Omega Consulting Group, Inc. in 1992, a firm that specialized in hands-on Lost Charge Recovery. She made a strategic decision to re-brand her company in 2007, emphasizing technology offerings and positioning it as a company with technology-enabled revenue cycle solutions for hospitals across the United States. Hence, Omega Technology Solutions was born.
Mr. Erickson is a co-founder of Knowledge Capital Alliance (KCA), innovators of the VMSG Dashboard Performance Management System (VMSG). VMSG is a cloud-based, real-time, performance management system designed specifically to assist public health departments in performance management of the Strategic and Operational Planning process. Prior to co-founding KCA with Dr. Tom Keller in June of 2001, Mr. Erickson had been involved in many aspects of the information technology field for over 30 years. He held successful positions in the areas of Application Engineering, Engineering Management, Technical Sales, Sales Management, IT Management, Business Process Development, Customer Relationship Management, and eLearning. Throughout his career, Mr. Erickson has received numerous awards for achievements in Technology, Sales and Management.
Mr. Tolchin is a seasoned healthcare executive with 30 years of experience developing revenue cycle companies and solutions that improve net collections for providers. Having worked in both the corporate and entrepreneurial environments, Mr. Tolchin’s ability to identify root causes of operational deficiencies and match those with effective solutions have created long-lasting client partnerships. As a founder of Triad Health Consultants, Inc., and Precision Health Systems, Mr. Tolchin has successfully built and grown businesses with outstanding reputations for delivering value.
Mr. Saltich re-joined the Certive Solutions Board of Directors, a position he resigned in early 2017. With over 35 years of experience in high technology, Mr. Saltich brings exceptional breadth and depth to the Company both in terms of leadership and governance. Mr. Saltich has served as a Director on numerous innovative public and private companies including Immersion (IMMR), Atmel (ATML), Ramtron (RMTR) and Leadis (LDIS). From January 2006 until its sale in February 2011 Mr. Saltich served as Chairman and CEO of Vitex Systems, a private technology licensing company. Mr. Saltich is also an investor in the Company.
A Canadian native with over 25 years of experience in the insurance and financial sectors, Mr. Wareham brings to Certive a wealth of knowledge in capital formation and connectivity within the Canadian financial markets. Mr. Wareham graduated from The University of Western Ontario with degrees in English and economics.
Dr. Pelberg is currently President at The Pelberg Group. Dr. Pelberg joined Bayless in 2013 after his previous position of Chief Medical Officer at INSPIRIS from 2008-2011. Prior to joining, INSPIRIS, Dr. Pelberg spent nineteen years at Schaller Anderson in Phoenix, first as Vice President and National Medical Director (1988-1995), then as President and Chief Medical Officer from 1999-2007. He also practiced internal medicine from 1981-1999, during which time he was also an instructor of clinical medicine for the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center Internal Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Pelberg brings to the Company rich clinical and senior level healthcare operations experience. Dr. Pelberg current serves as a consultant to several health plans, population health companies, and actuarial firms.

As an RCM management expert and consultant to the healthcare provider community, Jack has an extensive career in management CBO’s for large health systems and outsourced providers.
Steve has built one of the top actuarial analysis organizations for large healthcare purchasers. Mr. Schramm’s background brings to Certive actuarial and analytical knowledge and toolsets that derive meaningful information from health data. Optumas is the largest independent actuarial company in the U.S. and is actuary of record for seven state Medicaid programs.
Fairfield Advisors is a hedge fund specializing in market structure arbitrage and volatility strategies. Mr. Benton brings to the Advisory Council years of experience in the translation of business operating strategies to investment information and tools that enable effective investor relations communications and financial guidance within the public markets. Mr. Benton is a distinguished and highly regarded member of the U.S. investment community, having served on several New York Stock Exchange committees over the years. Mr. Benton is a former Governor of the New York Stock Exchange.

Don is the former Secretary of the Health and Human Services Commission in Texas under Governor George Bush and Governor Rick Perry. Prior to this, Don held numerous Commission appointments in State, County, and commercial health entities.
William has over 30 years of healthcare services and technology experience and 12 years of private equity experience. William was the President of iPlexus Solutions, Inc, which provides cloud-based medical billing decision support, medical clearinghouse, and medical billing functions; servicing over 6000 health care providers nationwide. Previously, William was President of the e-Health Solutions division for Per-Se Technologies with over $60 million in revenue and $12 million in EBITDA, with 350 hospitals and 55,000 physicians. The e-Health division was the fastest growing Per-Se division for four years and became the second largest medical clearinghouse in the industry. Per-Se acquired NDC Health in 2006 and Per-Se was purchased by McKesson in 2007. Mr. Dagher is currently a Director and is contributing to management in the areas of strategy, finance, M&A, marketing and technology with SFUR, a Medical Utilization Review Company.
Bob is an accomplished professional with over 35 years of experience, internationally, in the aluminum industry where he developed and implemented new strategic plans for commodity marketing, procurement and risk management for one of the world’s largest brewers and recyclers. Mr. Uxa pioneered commodity sourcing from Russia, India, the Middle East and South America for U.S. Manufacturers and was at the leading edge of product line expansion for the aluminum industry.
Michael brings workflow and revenue cycle operational experience to Certive Health. Michael has been involved with healthcare process improvement focusing on operations, finance, revenue cycle performance turn-around, software implementation, and training. Currently, Michael is the CEO and Managing Director of North America for e5 Workflow Inc. a software, workflow, and process improvement company. Prior to e5 Workflow Inc., he worked for Regional Medical Laboratory (RML) a division of St. John Health System in Tulsa, Oklahoma from 2009 to 2015. During his time with RML, he has redesigned the workflow process utilizing the current software to produce more productive outcomes through training, auditing, metrics, and efficiency. In 2007 Michael joined St. John Health System as a Senior Financial Analyst for their outpatient group where he managed the finance and operation improvement for 32 physician practices and in two years had 84% showing an average of 14% growth in key performance indicators and profitable. Michael has also been involved in consulting for ICD-10 training, process development, and implementation strategies for large and small healthcare sectors. He has also previously consulted for practice development, start-up companies, and healthcare education for business in the finance and management areas. Prior to 2007 Michael worked as a Controller for a small for-profit rural hospital where he helped structure department spending, improve the accounting close process, empower department leaders to run their areas through metrics, and consistently drive the hospital’s bottom line into a profit situation.

Broad insights combined with laser initiatives allow Mr. Petelle to bypass the normal delays and expedite growth, efficiency, and bottom line. Mr. Petelle has led initiatives across the country as well as in Singapore, Hong Kong, Milan, Etc. His knowledge, timing, and leadership is a welcome inclusion in Certive’s Advisory Board.
